The historical SND building

Maurice Ravel serves as common denominator of the evening of young choreographers Reona Sato and Adrian Ducin. Ravel, one of the leading figures of Impressionism in music, is revisited here as the author of the ballet Daphnis and Chloe and Bolero. Staging these oeuvres for over a century has been a challenge to a number of the world’s leading choreographers, topped by Mikhail Fokine or Maurice Béjart who turned these Ravel works into the gems of the 20th-century ballet. The two members of the youngest generation of choreographers, the graduates in choreography from the Academy of Performing Arts presents the oeuvres in new production form within the context of the 21st-century dramatic expression.
