Radosław Paczocha

Black comedy about three friends in a wrong place at a wrong time.

The new SND building, The Blue Salon
9. 10. 2018
The play by the Polish playwright Radosław Paczocha, as staged by Adriana Totiková, is at times a chilling and, at times a warning 'portrait' of the essence of petty bourgeoisie which is hard to grasp even today, in the 21st century. It throws into the whirlpool of desperate actions and the downward spiral young people, cauterised by boredom, demoralised by inactivity, confused by (seeming) freedom, and frustrated by the vast gap between the promotedopportunities and live reality, The black comedy .about three friends who find themselves in the wrong place at a wrong time – or rather in bad 'state' and under adverse circumstances, for place and time are always the same: Saturday like any other), a bar (like millions of similar ones across the world). Generational statement that no member of the generation would sign, for it is way too true, painfully accurate and brutal.
