Andrea Schifano

Soloist
He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance in London and the Boston Ballet Academy in the USA. He has been a member of the Slovenian National Theatre Ballet under Edward Clug since 2021. He was the principal dancer with the Croatian National Ballet in Zagreb from 2014 to 2021 under Leonard Jakovina's direction. Starting from the 2023/2024 season, he has become a soloist of the Slovak National Theatre Ballet.
 
His repertoire includes the main characters of classical and neoclassical works such as Albrecht (Giselle, choreography Iraida Lukasova), Solor, Grand Pas d'action (La Bayadère, choreography Vasily Medvedev), Prince (The Nutcracker, choreography Derek Dean), Vronsky (Anna Karenina, choreography Leo Mujic), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet, choreography Patrice Bart), Tadzio (The Death in Venice, choreography Valentina Turcu), Lost Boy (Peter Pan, choreography Giorgia Madia), Prince Siegfried, The Jester (The Swan Lake, choreography Vladimir Malakhov), Franz Josef (Elisabeth of Austria – Sissi, choreography Patrice Bart), Chevalier Danceny (Dangerous Liaisons, choreography Giorgio Madia), Leon Dupois (Madame Bovary, choreography Valentina Turcu) and more. He danced solos in works by Edward Clug – Carmina Burana, The Rite of Spring, Peer Gynt, and Weddings.
At the Slovak National Theatre Ballet, he performed solo parts such as Summer (Cinderella, choreography Michael Corder) and Pas de cinq (The Swan Lake, choreography Rudolf Nureyev). He will soon appear as Des Grieux (Manon, choreography Kenneth MacMillan) and in other roles.
