World-class Slovak voices will perform at the gala concert of the Slovak National Theatre as part of the OPERA GALA series. The SND Opera will welcome two outstanding Slovak vocalists who have gained recognition on the international stage: soprano Slávka Zámečníková and baritone Dalibor Jenis. Together with the SND Opera Orchestra, they will perform at a gala concert conducted by the renowned Czech conductor Jaroslav Kyzlink.

 

Since 2019, Slávka Zámečníková has risen rapidly on the world's opera and concert stages and is currently among the most prominent lyric sopranos of her generation. Thanks to her captivating performances, sense of style, and interpretive versatility, she quickly gained international attention. She has performed at prestigious venues such as the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the San Francisco Opera.

 

This year's honouree, Dalibor Jenis, has long been one of the leading figures of Slovak vocal art on the international stage. His domain is Verdi roles, but he has also successfully performed in major productions of lesser-known works by Busoni and Ponchielli. He has won several prestigious vocal competitions and has been a soloist with the Slovak National Theatre Opera since 1991. To this day, he remains a guest performer at the most prestigious European opera houses, such as the Vienna State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Hamburg State Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
