The Geneva Philharmonic. The dressing room of the internationally renowned conductor H. P. Miller shortly after the end of one of his concerts. The orchestra didn't play well, so Miller is furious. He just wants to take a shower and go home. However, his great admirer León Dinkel comes to the dressing room and claims that he has come all the way from Belgium just to pay his respects to the maestro. Miller can't get rid of the pesky Dinkel, Dinkel doesn't want to leave the locker room at any cost. Miller wants to call the police, but when he sees the old photo Dinkel brought him, everything changes. With the old photo, Miller's terrifying past, hidden all his life, enters the dressing room. Who is León Dinkel anyway? What does he really want? Who leaves the locker room at the end of the interview?

The play False Note had its world première at the Off d'Avignon Festival in 2017, and was subsequently transferred to the Théâtre Michel in Paris. A powerful story full of suspense with a masterfully constructed plot puts the spectator in the role of a judge. The Hamlet-like spirit of the play reveals the truth of the past and rips off the masks that hide the true face of the two protagonists who play a "chess game" against each other. The audience witnesses the gradual psychological collapse of a man who first tries to save his reputation and then his bare life in a game he is forced to play against his will.

The production was created in collaboration between the Slovak National Theatre and Theatre Without Masks, o.z. with the financial support of the SPP Foundation and the Tatra Banka Foundation.

The production is suitable for audiences aged 15 and over.
