The SND Opera, in addition to its main-stage performances, also hosts chamber concerts performed by our artists. An evening with Peter Mikuláš, a prominent long-standing soloist of the ensemble, is sure to be a celebration of music. It will feature a music cycle by one of the most significant contemporary composers residing in Slovakia, Jevgenij Irshai, titled The Slovak Notebook for Poems by Ivan Krasko, along with a selection of works by the renowned Russian Romantic composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

 

Peter Mikuláš is an exceptional personality who combines the vocal and acting abilities of an opera vocalist with a specific talent for immersing himself in the intimate poetics of the lyric repertoire. We would like to introduce the guests of the Slovak National Theatre Opera to this other aspect of his work.

 

The artist will be accompanied on the piano by Jevgenij Irshai and Jana Nagy-Juhász.
