A ballet fresco about temptation, love and the will to live. An epic ballet in three acts

The new SND building, Opera and Ballet hall
10. 10. 2024 19:00 h - 21:35 h
Inspired by the story of the heroes of Abbé Prévost's novel and choreographed by the magnificent Sir Kenneth MacMillan, this spectacular dramatic epic is about temptation, the will to live, love and suffering. This dance-theatre fresco about the shapes and challenges of love, performed in its Slovak première, offers a fascinating insight into the life of a hedonistic Paris. The choreography, entwined with spectacular choral dances and beautiful romantic duets, is gently carried on the melodies of Massenet's music. What price will the whimsical heroine Manon have to pay, torn between her desire for a life of abundance and her devotion to her beloved?
