The Košice National Theatre Ballet presents a successful dance production for children, The Wizard of Oz. The well-known story of Dorothy's journey, based on the book by L. Frank Baum, was adapted by Italian choreographer Giorgio Madia. Dorothy, who is swept away by a tornado to a distant land, wants to return home, but the only one who can help her is the Wizard of Oz. And so begins the journey of the brave heroine to find the wizard, during which she meets new friends – the spooky Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion. With a clear moral message, this successful dance fairy tale is bursting with colour, fantastic characters and contemporary design.
