The soprano Anna Netrebko is an outstanding interpreter who rightfully occupies a prominent place in opera history.
She is well-known for performing at prestigious venues, such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the State Opera in Vienna, the Royal Opera House in London and many others.
She arrives in Bratislava with the artistic tandem she has enjoyed success with all over the world: alongside her performs an exceptional young talent, the British-Italian tenor Freddie De Tommaso, and at the conductor's podium of the Orchestra of the Slovak National Theatre Opera Michelangelo Mazza. Together with foreign artists, Daniel Čapkovič, the soloist of the Slovak National Theatre Opera, will also perform.
Scenes from works by Amilcare Ponchielli, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Umberto Giordano, Francesco Cilea and other composers will be featured.
The Opera Gala of Anna Netrebko is the first full-length production of this opera diva in Slovakia.
With this gala evening, the SND Opera opens a series of concerts of world opera stars on the SND stage.
