The SND Opera Studio Christmas Concert will be a festive occasion to meet young vocal talent and to enjoy music that has accompanied the most beautiful time of the year for centuries. The varied programme will offer a selection of sacred and operatic music, including works by George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Giacomo Puccini and Benjamin Britten. The festive atmosphere will be further enhanced by traditional Christmas carols arranged by Ľuboš Bernáth and by the participation of a children’s choir. A special place in the programme belongs to Jakub Jan Ryba’s Czech Christmas Mass, which has become an essential part of the Central European Christmas tradition. Members of the SND Opera Studio will perform well-known melodies as well as less frequently heard musical gems, inviting listeners to share in joy, peace and the festive moments of the season.
