Ľubomír Paulovič

Ľubomír Paulovič was born in Prašice. He was captivated by acting at an early age, playing a prince in the fairy tale Radúz and Mahuliena at the age of eleven. After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, he joined the Slovak National Uprising Theatre (now the Slovak Chamber Theatre) in Martin in 1976. In 1984, he became a member of the Slovak National Theatre, from where he left in 1996 when he resigned as director of the SND Drama Theatre. In 1997-1998 and 2001-2002, he was the artistic director and director of the Jozef Gregor Tajovský Theatre in Zvolen. He then worked as a freelance theatre and television director. He served as mayor of his home municipality from 2006 to 2010. Currently, he is again a member of the SND Drama Theatre. He has portrayed dozens of theatre characters on stage. Audiences perceive him primarily as a remarkable film and television actor. He has appeared in over one hundred and fifty television titles and approximately forty-five feature films. As a director, he has been responsible for several theatre productions and musicals.
