Kamila Magálová was born in Bratislava. She studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts (1975). From 1973 to 1982, she was a member of the Poetic Ensemble of the New Stage Theatre in Bratislava. She first performed at the Slovak National Theatre in 1970 in the production of Herod and Herodias. Since 1982, she has been a member of the SND Drama Theatre. She has had dozens of film and stage roles. In addition, she successfully lends her voice to characters in dubbing studios.
She works with Studio L + S, where she has performed as a guest since 1985. She was also featured as a singer in the musical Cyrano from the Suburbs at the New Stage Theatre in Bratislava. In addition to appearing in theatre and on television, she is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Slovakia, Patron of Animal Freedom and President of the Foundation for Horse Rescue.
Awards:
2012 - Blue Cube Film Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival for outstanding artistic performance in film for the role of Helena in Marie Poledňáková's comedy Líbáš jako Bůh (You Kiss Like God).
2017 – Literary Fund Award for Lifetime Achievement
