Zdena Studenková was born in Bratislava. She studied photography at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Bratislava and acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. From 1977 to 1978, she was a member of the New Stage Theatre Drama and, since 1978, of the SND Drama Theatre. She has starred in many films, television productions and series. In 1995 she released her music album Dotyky noci [The Touches of the Night]. She has also performed in many musicals at the New Stage Theatre, in Košice, Nitra and Prague, and has worked with the L+S Studio and the P. O. Hviezdoslav Municipal Theatre. She is the author of the books Recipes with a Pinch of Acting Spice (2004) and New Recipes with a Pinch of Acting Spice (2006). At the same time, in 2006, a new book, Zdena Studenková, Ján Štrasser: I am an Actress, was published.
