Within the main dramaturgical line, in the 102st season we present a masterpiece ballet of the supreme legacy of the 20th century, Cinderella by Sergei Prokofiev. The magical fairy tale of Cinderella by the French author Charles Perrault inspired the music giant Sergei Prokofiev to write a sound and melodically charged work, full of emotions, delicateness and melancholy, and, particularly, beautiful dance images that retain their appeal to dance artists across the world. The acclaimed international choreographer Michael Corder, who has collaborated with world-class ensembles such as the Royal Ballet, Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet in London, brings a contemporary choreographic vision and an original directing concept that augments the design by the celebrated British set and costume designer Mark Bailey. The ballet masterpiece presents another challenge for the performers within the SND Ballet.
