A gem of Romantic ballet

The new SND building, Opera and Ballet hall
The romantic ballet Giselle is a treasure of the world’s ballet literature. Théophile Gautier and Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges’ heart-warming tale of immortal love has been moving audiences since 1941. A choreographic drama flows on stage to the tune of Adolphe Charles Adam’s score, confronting the real world with the supernatural, the dances of mortals interspersed with the ethereal dances of fairies.

Running time: 2 hrs 35 mins with one interval

Première November 25, 2016, at the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre
