Star of the world's opera stages – a voice the world is talking about, Jonathan Tetelman, performs for the first time in Bratislava on the stage of the Slovak National Theatre.

Bratislava will host an extraordinary musical event. Internationally acclaimed tenor Jonathan Tetelman will perform on 5 April 2026 at the Opera and Ballet Hall of the Slovak National Theatre.

Tetelman is among the most distinguished tenors of his generation. Critics write about him as "a voice that combines fire and velvet" (The Times), comparing him to legends such as Pavarotti and Kaufmann. His appearances on world stages in Milan, Berlin, Paris, and New York have earned him standing ovations, and now his exceptional voice will be presented to Slovak audiences.

The Bratislava concert will feature arias and duets from operas by Georges Bizet, Giuseppe Verdi, and Giacomo Puccini, in which Tetelman excels with his passion, dramatic intensity, and charm. The Slovak National Theatre Opera Orchestra, conducted by Valerio Galli, will take part in the performance.

The special guests of the evening will be the soloists of the Slovak National Theatre Opera, Eva Hornyáková and Daniel Čapkovič, who will contribute unique moments of Slovak opera performance to the programme.

"The Slovak audience has an exceptional musical culture and a sense of beauty. I am very excited to bring them music, which is a passion of mine," says Jonathan Tetelman.

Tetelman's story is inspiring: he was born in Chile, adopted as a child, and grew up in New Jersey. After years in a rock band, he found his calling in opera, which became his destiny. Today, he appears on the world's greatest stages, and his albums for Deutsche Grammophon – Arias and The Great Puccini – are received with enthusiasm by critics and fans around the world.
