Tomáš Maštalír was born in Trnava. He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in 2000 and has been a member of SND Drama since that year. He also works as a pedagogue at the Academy of Performing Arts and with the P. O. Hviezdoslav Municipal Theatre and Arena Theatre. Since graduating from university, he has regularly appeared in film and television productions, including films and series.

2012 – Literary Fund Award for the character of Ivana Karamazov in the production of the play The Brothers Karamazov
2017 – Literary Fund Award for the character of Ľudo Kotlár in the production of The Natives, Don Carlos in the production of The Hotel Bristol Apartment, with consideration for the character of Tibor Maxo Maxovský in the film Behind the Glass
2018 – Crystal Wing 2017 in the Theatre and Audiovisual Arts category
2018 – Literary Fund Award for the character of Richard III in the production of Richard III, taking into account the character of Tibor Maxovský in the TV series Behind Glass 2
2018 – The Sun in the Net – Slovak Film and Television Academy Award for the best male actor – the main character of Adam Krajňák in the film The Line
2020 – OTO – The Actor of the Year 2019
