Roberta Dinová

Assistant Director

Róberta Dinová works at the Slovak National Theatre Opera as an assistant director, contributing to the preparation and realization of operatic productions in the contemporary repertoire. Her professional path is characterized by a broad range of stage and backstage experience, which she integrates into a comprehensive approach to production.

She studied dance at the J. L. Bella Conservatory in Banská Bystrica and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. As a soloist with SĽUK and a member of the Banská Bystrica State Opera ballet, she performed in a wide range of opera, ballet, and musical productions, and collaborated extensively with several Slovak theatres, including SND, Divadlo Nová scéna, SDT, DJGT in Zvolen, and Divadlo Andreja Bagara in Nitra.

A significant part of her career includes international projects, such as performances at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch and the official Parisian cast of the musical Romeo et Juliette by Gérard Presgurvic, with which she toured Europe and Asia. These experiences enhanced her ability to work in multicultural environments and under the demanding conditions of large-scale productions.

She gradually developed as a choreographer, assistant choreographer, and artistic project organizer, contributing to dance, musical-theatre, and social events, and her work is distinguished by a keen attention to detail and natural leadership with ensembles.

Alongside her stage work, she served as a stage manager and later as an assistant director on productions including Svätopluk, Hubička, Perníková chalúpka, Bohéma, Turandot, Netopier, and Impresario Dotcom. She is also the head of the SND Opera chorus and external dancers, coordinating the movement aspects of productions.

Her professional signature is the ability to perceive a production as a living organism, where music, movement, space, and acting interconnect. With her wide-ranging experience, she represents a prominent figure in the contemporary opera scene.
