Milada (Mika) Vargová was born in Ilava. After graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy at the UPJŠ in Prešov and continuing her studies at the Pedagogical Faculty of the Charles University in Bratislava, she worked as a teacher at the School of Applied Arts in Lednicke Rovne and later as an editor and host of regional radio and cultural events. From 2004 to 2019, she was the director of the Culture Centre Púchov and the cultural manager of the Púchov Theatre. He has been working at the SND since the beginning of 2020. She is also involved in proofreading fiction and professional texts in the Slovak language.
