Matej Bošňák

Matej Bošňák

He graduated in technical cybernetics at the University of Žilina. After graduating in 1993, he began his professional career in the IT field. Still, only a year later, he joined the consulting firm Coopers & Lybrand (later PwC) as a junior consultant in the auditing department.
 
In 2004, he moved to Ernst & Young (EY) as a senior manager, becoming a partner in the auditing department in 2006.
 
During his two-year sabbatical from 2011 to 2013, he worked as a lecturer in accounting, auditing and controlling for the Slovak branch of the British educational institution BPP.
 
Upon returning to EY in 2014, he became a senior partner and transaction advisory partner until June 2020, when he left the consulting firm.
 
Since January 2021, he has been the economic director of the Slovak National Theatre. He is married and has three children.
