Romeo and Juliet at the SND Ballet

On the occasion of the première of Romeo and Juliet in a new choreography by Jakob Feyferlik and Nina Poláková, which is the eighth staging of Prokofiev's dramatic ballet in the history of the Slovak National Theatre Ballet, the dramaturgy department, in cooperation with the SND archive, has prepared a retrospective exhibition that reflects on the other seven productions. Visitors to the theatre can explore traditional productions by Stanislav Remar, Miroslav Kůra, Karol Tóth and other creators, as well as the contemporary concepts of Natália Horečná, and learn about the interpretive mastery of several generations of SND Ballet soloists through photographs. The exhibition, which explores the history of Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet at the Slovak National Theatre Ballet, also features costumes from the 2013 production of the same name.
