SND chalet is based in the valley Jánska dolina in the Northern part of the National Park Low Tatras. To reach the chalet by car from Bratislava, take the D1/E50 motorway heading towards the city of Liptovský Mikuláš. In about 9 kilometres use the exit from the motorway, turn right in the direction Liptovský Ján. After leaving the town, continue along the paved road in the direction Jánska dolina. On the intersection turn left in the direction SND chalet (chata SND and RTV), and continue along the forest paved road about 650 metres all the way to the barrier, beyond which you reach the dedicated parking.

The chalet has 7 standard rooms with four single beds and 2 standard rooms with 3 beds and a balcony. The ground floor has a common room with a dining area with an adjacent, fully equipped kitchen. A gazebo is by the chalet, with equipment for barbecues and open fire.
