Our heart beats in a certain rhythm; we breathe in rhythm, and we move and walk in rhythm. The rhythm is all around us and within us. We will use various rhythmic games to illustrate that we all have a sense of rhythm. We will present to you how we can discover and manifest it in ourselves in a playful way. You will learn interesting facts from the world of music therapy and enjoy a demonstration of special therapeutic musical instruments.
In this workshop for children aged 8 – 15 years old, you will become part of an improvised rhythmic "orchestra" led by an experienced teacher and discover the power of group percussion playing on African drums.
You need to bring the registered children with a purchased ticket and a completed and signed GDPR consent form to the main entrance of the Slovak National Theatre between 10.45 and 11.00 on the day of the workshop. Timely arrival is essential as the main entrance to the building will be closed at 11.00 am due to the weekend closure. Please make sure that you are punctual. Parents who will not take part in the workshop can pick up their children after the workshop at 1.00 pm again at the main entrance of the theatre.
