We can think of dance as an artistic – communicating phenomenon that can communicate with people without words, regardless of nationality, language skills, gender or age. No matter whether it is an academic or a folk dance. Driven by an effort to bring the beauty of various genres of dance , two professional dance ensembles – the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre and the The Slovak State Traditional Dance Company (SĽUK) – offer the best of their repertoire in a joint dance medley. The SND Ballet will present popular choreographies from the classical repertoire, such as Swan Lake, Esmeralda. SĽUK, will bring in the most beautiful dance fragments that represent Slovakia’s rich folklore heritage. Side-by-side, the soloists and members of both ensembles will show their interpretive brilliance, and a wide movement and genre range in choreographies that are bound to delight dance aficionados.
