Alexander Bárta was born in Košice. He graduated from the Conservatory in Košice, music and drama department. In 1996, he began studying acting at the Academy of Performing Arts, graduating in 2000. He has worked in the theatres in Trnava, Nitra, and Košice, in the Aréna Theatre in Bratislava, and since December 2006, he has been a member of the SND Drama Theatre. He also works with the P. O. Hviezdoslav Municipal Theatre. He has appeared in many television series.

2020 - Literary Fund Award for the character Maksudov in the production of the play The Theatre Novel
