Mário Drgoňa
Mário Drgoňa was born in Trnava. He graduated in theatre dramaturgy and drama production at the Academy of Performing Arts. Already during his studies as a guest dramaturg or assistant director, he worked with several Slovak and Czech theatres, such as the Jan Palárik Theatre in Trnava, Činoherní studio in Ústí nad Labem, Mír Theatre in Ostrava, the Old Theatre of Karol Spišák in Nitra, etc. As an author and director, he gained experience also thanks to his cooperation with Slovak Radio. He is also a composer of incidental music, translator of dramatic texts from English and a dubbing artist. He founded and runs the Fokus-Pokus Festival of professional independent theatre. He has worked as a dramaturgy lecturer at the Drama Theatre of the Slovak National Theatre since April 2020.
