Ľuboš Kostelný

Ľuboš Kostelný was born in Martin. He studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Since 2003, he has been a member of the SND Drama Theatre. He left the SND in 2010 but became a member again in 2012. He has performed many theatre, television and film characters and has worked in Slovak Radio and dubbing. Since 2013, he has been an acting teacher at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.

2003 - Award for the best actor at the Setkání Brno festival

2005 - Literary Fund Prize for theatre creation
2008 - IGRIC Award
2012 - Literary Fund Award for the character Smerdyakov in the dramatisation of The Brothers Karamazov, taking into account the character of Rob in the TV series Taste of Love
2014 - DOSKY Award - for the best acting performance of the season: The Kindly Ones of the Slovak National Theatre
2014 - Literary Fund Award for the character of Maximilian Aue in the dramatisation of the novel The Kindly Goddesses
2017 - Literary Fund Award for the character of Jan Jančich in the film Holidays
2018 - Literary Fund Award for the character of a geography and physical education teacher in the series Holidays 2
