He studied set design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence. He worked as a lighting designer in some of the most important theatres around the world, including the Sydney Opera House with Giancarlo del Monaco for Luisa Miller, the NCPA of Beijing with Giancarlo Del Monaco for L'Italiana in Algeri, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden of London and the Opera Garnier of Paris for the new lighting design for the ballet Histoire de Manon of Sir Kenneth McMillan, the Teatro San Carlo of Naples with Fabio Sparvoli for Pecheurs du Perles, the Teatro Massimo of Palermo for the ballet Corsaro with the set design of Francesco Zito, at the New Mariinsky Theater lighting Carmina Burana of Shen Wei, the Royal Opera House of Muscat with Caracalla Dance Company, the Théâtre Du Capitole with Anne Delbée for Viol de Lucrèce.
He has worked with such set designers as Ezio Frigeri or for many Opera and Ballet productions at The Astana Opera House, such as Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Carmen, Don Quixote, Elisir d'Amore and many more. He worked for the grand re-opening of the Opera of Budapest with the ballet Mayerling of Sir Kenneth McMillan. He worked at the Bunka Kaikan of Tokyo with Alessandro Talevi for Tosca and at the Seoul art centre for Rigoletto. In Seoul, he also worked with Renato Zanella for the Ballet Mata Hari and with Arnaud Bernard for the Opera Samson et Dalila.
