Samuel Rihák

Samuel Rihák is an industrial designer with fifteen years of experience in design and production. For the last ten years, he has led a team of designers in the development of new products at OMS Lighting, which is currently the largest LED luminaire factory in Central Europe. The products that he has co-designed have exceeded 100,000 units produced and are sold both at home and abroad. He has extensive experience in structural materials, 3D modelling and technological preparation for production. In addition to working on products, he has designed stands for international trade fairs in Frankfurt and several exhibition designs for the Slovak National Museum. He is originally from Bratislava and studied wood shaping at the School of Applied Arts, industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts, doctoral studies in scenography at the Academy of Performing Arts, and completed an internship focused on product design in Essen, Germany. He participated in two archaeological expeditions in North Africa led by the National Museum in Prague. He speaks fluent English and German.
