A native of Vienna, he studied ballet at the dance department of the Vienna Conservatory and at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera. In 2013, he joined the Vienna State Ballet, where he was promoted to soloist three years later. In February 2019, following the performance of Nureyev’s Swan Lake, he was appointed principal dancer. During his time in Vienna, he played leading roles in classical and neoclassical ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Raymonda, La Fille mal gardée, Onegin, Le Corsaire, Sylvia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Armida’s Pavilion, Marguerite and Armand. He has danced in choreography by George Balanchine, Boris Eifman, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Roland Petit, Natália Horečná, Jiří Bubeníček, Kenneth MacMillan, Jerome Robbins, and many others.
In 2012, he appeared as a guest at the Dutch National Ballet gala, where he danced the famous duet from Trois Gnossiennes, choreographed by Hans van Manen, alongside prima ballerina Igone de Jongh. He then played the role of the prince in The Nutcracker with the Amsterdam ensemble. After these successful guest appearances, he accepted the position of principal soloist in Amsterdam. Since the 2023/2024 season, he has been a principal dancer with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich. In Munich, he performs Solor in La Bayadère, the Prince in Cinderella, Albrecht in Giselle, Onegin in the ballet of the same name, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, James in La Sylphide, as well as solo roles in choreographies by Nacho Duato, Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, Edward Clug, Christopher Wheeldon, Jiří Kylián, and others.
He has received numerous prizes and awards for his dancing skills, including second place at Premio Roma Danza (2012), third place at the 4th International Ballet Competition in Beijing (2012), the Karl Musil Memorial Award (2014), and sponsorship from the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper Ballet Club (2016). For his portrayal of King Ludwig II in John Neumeier’s ballet Illusions – Like Swan Lake, he was nominated by Dance Europe magazine for Dancer of the Year in 2025.
