Ondrej Kovaľ was born in Bratislava. He studied at the Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts. After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts, he appeared as a guest performer at the Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra, the New Stage Theatre in Bratislava, and the Theatre in Martin. Since 2002, he has been a member of the Drama Department of the Slovak National Theatre. In addition to being on the theatre stage, he can also be seen in TV series and films. He is also active in the musical group UMK.
Awards:
2007 - DOSKY - together with Róbert Mankovecký and Miloslav Kráľ for the music to the production of Štúr's Followers (cancelled concert); Slovak Chamber Theatre
2008 - Literary Fund Award for the character of Mozart in the production of P. Shaffer's Amadeus for the character of the Count in the production of the play Mercedes Benz
