Jozef Vajda

Jozef Vajda was born in Žilina. In 1977 he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts. Until 1980 he worked at the New Stage Theatre. He has been employed in the Drama Theatre of the Slovak National Theatre since that period. In the dubbing studio, he has provided his voice to several American actors, including Michael Douglas, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and others. In 2002, Jozef Vajda was awarded the Golden Loop for his performances in dubbing. He is also a successful actor in films and several Slovak television series.

1996 - Literary Fund Award for the character of King in the production of Becket or The Honour of God
1998 - nomination for the theatre DOSKY Award for the character of Mack Murphy in the production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
2001 - Literary Fund Award for the character of King in the production of Becket or The Honour of God
2002 - Golden Loop Award for the performance in dubbing
2003 - Literary Fund Award for the character of Sir Robert Chiltern in the production Ideal Husband
2004 - nomination for the Crystal Wing
2004 - nomination for the IGRIC Award
2015 - Literary Fund Award for the character of Tava in the production of The Bride of the Mountains, taking into account the character of Zhovkin in the production of The Ball
2015 - Crystal Wing 2014 in the Theatre and Audiovisual Arts category
