Petra Vajdová was born in Martin. She studied acting at the Bratislava Conservatory and continued her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts, where she graduated with the role of Fiokla Ivanovna in the production of The Marriage. During her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts, she was already a guest performer at the Slovak National Theatre (The House on the Ocean, Cyrano of Bergerac, The Dance House). After graduation, she joined the ASTORKA Korzo´90 theatre in Bratislava. She changed her environment for a while, travelled and became an actress at the HaDivadlo in Brno (Hedy Lamarr) for one season. After a year's engagement, however, she returned to ASTORKA Korzo´90. She is a guest performer at the P. O. Hviezdoslav Municipal Theatre in Bratislava and the Aréna Theatre. Since 2012, she has been a member of the SND Drama Theatre. Petra Vajdová also performs on television, and you may know her voice from the radio or by dubbing.

2015 - Literary Fund Award for the role of Angela in the production Midnight Mass and for the role of Esther in the production The Splendors and Miseries of Courtesans, taking into account the role of Zuna in the production The Bride of the Mountains
2016 - DOSKY Award in the category of Best Actress for the role of Emilia Ekhdalova in the production of Fanny and Alexander
2018 - Literary Fund Award for the dubbing of Maria Theresa in the two-part film Maria Theresa
